William R. Underhill

William R. "Bill" Underhill is co-founder and owner of Converse and Underhill, PLLC. Bill has been in the private practice of law, helping folks with legal matters in Robertson County and Middle Tennessee for over 28 years. Bill's practice primarily focuses on personal injury and wrongful death law, as well as DUI and criminal defense, and family law. He is also listed as a Rule 31 Family Law Mediator by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission of the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Bill is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, who moved to Robertson County, Tennessee, in 1980. Bill is a graduate of Springfield High School, Lambuth College (now the University of Memphis-Lambuth), and the Nashville School of Law. Bill and his wife have lived in Springfield, Tennessee for 28 years, and have 3 adult children. When he's not at the office, Bill enjoys distance running and playing with his Australian Shepherds, Manny and Merle.

Bill has successfully represented clients who have suffered harm from careless and negligent folks for 28 years. Robertson County is uniquely positioned, as it is bordered by I-24 on the west, I-65 on the east, the Commonwealth of Kentucky on the northern edge and Metro Davidson County to the south.

Never hire a lawyer based on a TV ad, or an interstate billboard. The big box, out-of -state law firms don't know Robertson County and have likely never been here before. Hire a lawyer that lives here, raised his children here, and is familiar with the Robertson County community, its people, and its Court system.

While attending law school, Bill served as law clerk for the Fourth Circuit Court for Davidson County, Tennessee (Honorable Judge Muriel Robinson) in Nashville, from 1992-1996. Since obtaining his license from the Tennessee Supreme Court, he has served:
